This is the latest addition to my ever changing stable. Just arrived from frozen Montreal last week. It will serve as my main method of on-road domination from my place at the top of Dawes hill to and from the shop for the rest of the year, so please watch for me as I take over the right hand lane coming down Mariner way at maximum warp.

As far as the bike goes, it impresses in every way. Of course, I was just happy every time I remebered that I could coast or shift, after spending 2 years lost and fixed. The Campy 11 speed shiting has come a long way. It is no long vague, producing a clean and positive shift both up and down, with a very audible happy shift noise, which shocked some poor neighbor into thinking there was a drive-by as I dumped the entire range powering out of my driveway - something that can only be done on a Campagnolo equiped ride.

Out on the sprint to work, the fully carbon frame and fork feel incredibly stiff, helped by the tube shapes, the 1-1/4” -1-1/8” tapered steer tube, and the huge BB juntion where the downtube, seatube and chainstays all meet in a beautifully crafted shell.

After another grueling day at the shop, the Campy Athena Ultra-Torque Cranks help immensely to transfer what little power I have left into propelling me up the steep hill home. The Mavic Ksyrium Elite wheels run on some of the smoothest rolling bearings, and have exceeded my expectations for strength, after casing up on what I thought to be an easy bunnyhop over a curb without a dent or wobble.
And, its red, which makes anyone with an orange bike feel just a bit jealous.
More to come after a few months in the saddle.
Peace
